Is this an Italian city, you ask? Perhaps Spanish? In fact, this scene is in Beijing, China. St. Joseph's Wangfujing Church (Dongtang Cathedral) along the bustling shopping street of Wangfujing, just east of the Forbidden City. On this particular night, the square in front was filled with a crowd of people dancing in unison. Originally built in 1655, the current version was rebuilt in 1904. In any case, one of the many stunning contrasts in this bustling city. It's a great example of public space, where it's needed.
